Oak Island, Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach, and Sunset Beach are some of the most popular beaches in the region. Brunswick Country Parks and Recreation is one of the best I've seen. There are countless parks and playgrounds spread across the county. The organizations also put on great events throughout the year for visitors and residents. On Oak Island there are concerts weekly from May to September along with countless festivals.


Ferry Boats

There is a 20 minute ferry from Southport, NC to Fort Fisher, NC where you can enjoy the Fort Fisher Aquarium or other beaches and towns including Fort Fisher, Kure Beach or Carolina Beach. You can also take a day trip to Bald Head Island from Southport.
