Brunswick County is located in between Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. Brunswick County has more than 19 towns and communities. The county spans over 1,050 square miles and boasts a population of over 142,800. Visitors can access Brunswick County through Wilmington International Airport or Myrtle Beach Airport.

Beaches The beaches in Brunswick County are the major attraction, drawing visitors from far and wide. Oak Island, Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach, and Sunset Beach are some of the most popular beaches in the region. They offer plenty of outdoor activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking and sunbathing. These beaches have miles of pristine coastline and are surrounded by lush vegetation and sand dunes.

Golf Welcome to Golf Country! Golf enthusiasts can also find their paradise in Brunswick County, thanks to numerous golf courses in the area. The county features more than 30 championship golf courses, including the famous Cape Fear National at Brunswick Forest, Tiger's Eye Golf Course at Ocean Ridge Plantation, Carolina National and the Thistle Golf Club.

There are small coastal towns where you can eat local cuisine, shop and enjoy entertainment. This includes Southport, NC which is famous for the fourth of July Festival where people travel from far and wide to enjoy the parade, fireworks and festivities. There are also larger cities close by to go have an evening or day out, including Wilmington, NC.

Historical Landmarks Apart from the beaches and golf courses, Brunswick County also boasts of several historical landmarks, including the Old Brunswick Town State Historic Site, Fort Anderson State Historic Site, and the Oak Island Lighthouse. Parks and Recreation

Brunswick Country Parks and Recreation is one of the best I've seen. There are countless parks and playgrounds spread across the county. The organizations also put on great events throughout the year for visitors and residents. On Oak Island there are concerts weekly from May to September along with countless festivals.

Ferry Boats

There is a 20 minute ferry from Southport, NC to Fort Fisher, NC where you can enjoy the Fort Fisher Aquarium or other beaches and towns including Fort Fisher, Kure Beach or Carolina Beach. You can also take a day trip to Bald Head Island from Southport.
